ABOUT LYRICS FOR LIFE
Lyrics for Life is a musical event that has taken place in New York City and Los Angeles in honor of World Suicide Prevention Week featuring Broadway & Hollywood talent under the age of 25 years old.

The event was created after the dealth of beloved actor, Robin Williams, who commited suicide in 2014. KOTA Productions, a New York-based performing arts company that specializes in productions for and with young people, took action to be an advocate for suicide prevention and mental health. Founder & Artistic Director, Laura Luc, produced the first Lyrics for Life in just three weeks. The event had a sold-out house of 700 people, and featured a cast of over 120 young performers.

Since then, the event has been seen by thousands and involved
over 400 performers from across the country. Lyrics for Life has been presented in New York City for three consecutive years, and in 2016 was brought to Los Angeles.
